Andrea Quartarone lives in Italy and is currently one of the most influential guitarist in Europe. His musical career started at the age of 13. In August 1995, during an international competition for electric guitarists in Lausanne, (Switzerland) Andrea was awarded as 'best young European talent’.
Andrea has recorded 10 instrumental albums: Presentation (1997), Guitar Academy 2001 (2001), Versatile (2004), Elektrio (2008), Heard Instinct (with Bruce Arnold, 2009), Guitar Academy 2011 (2011), Acoustic Duo (2012), Life Portraits (2012), Guitar Academy 2015 (2015) and Anthology 1997-2017, achieving great success and praise from Italian and international magazines and specialized media.
His new album, recorded between Italy and Los Angeles (USA), with Stuart Hamm, Thomas Lang, Ric Fierabracci, Atma Anur, Greg Howe, Martin Miller and Andrè Nieri, is available now.
Since January 2006, Andrea has held masterclasses and seminars at the world’s most prestigious academies and universities: the GIT (Musicians Institute of Hollywood Division), USC (University of Southern California), both in Los Angeles (USA), Washington University of St. Louis (Missouri USA) LAMA (Los Angeles Music Academy) in Los Angeles (USA), New York University (New York - USA) at the NY Summer Guitar Intensive Clinic, with Mark Whitfield, Muriel Anderson, Peter Leitch, Kenny Wessel, Jerome Harris, Peter Bernstein and Dave Scott.
Andrea has collaborated with AXE MAGAZINE (for 10 years), CHITARRE and GUITAR CLUB, the best guitar magazines in Italy.
Andrea is also the general director Guitar Academy (Accademia di Chitarra Moderna) in Italy and President of ESC (European Summer Campus), a yearly event featuring the world’s best guitar players.
